On April 7 2025, we executed a BUY Core position in U.S. Tech, Semis, and MAG7 Stocks. From the April bottom to the end of May 2025, the average stock in our Core Watchlist was up well over +40%, with some over +100% — strongly outperforming the market.

A year of returns in seven weeks… as I wrote many times: the hard part wasn’t being bullish at the bottom. It was the constant daily barrage of recession/retest/uncertainty/”go to cash” every day since. Every step of the way I held firm to the signals, published updated analysis and charts, and said: follow the trend UP.
Anyone can get lucky and buy a bottom in stocks… But patience and holding onto winners is what distinguishes great performance from mere luck, and patience + discipline are a rare combination in this world.

About MC — My Journey in Finance:
I've wanted to be involved in markets for as long as I can remember.
My father was a banker, and read the stock sheets every night. No computer, just handwritten notes and brainpower. He made markets seem fascinating. He asked me for the most popular brands at school — when I asked him why, he gave me Peter Lynch’s “Beating the Street”. It was my first investing book, and I still have it today.
I worked hard to be the best math student in school, studied finance, did internships anywhere near a trading desk, and was fortunate to work for some of the world’s most successful Funds and Investors.
Over the years, I’ve navigated various roles in the investment world — Analyst, Trader, Director, Portfolio Manager, Partner/CIO, and Trustee — each with its own set of victories and lessons.
I moved to downtown NYC and lived near the NYSE for over a decade. This period gave me many great memories from real-life Wall Street — including meeting legends like Art Cashin and joining the ‘Friends of Fermentation’ at their bar near the exchange, and being invited back regularly. As the site grows, I look forward to sharing these stories.
Joining Twitter in 2019 opened a new avenue for learning and exchanging ideas with fellow Investors and Traders. However, due to work commitments, I couldn’t share all my research, despite many requests from readers over the years.
After three decades of hard work, I decided to exit my fund partnerships in 2023-24. One of my partners, and a great friend, suggested I share my work with the world. So, I did — and never looked back.
Today, Macro Charts is one of the most widely read Financial publications on Substack — and was selected as a Substack Featured Publication in its first year, in recognition of its high quality and consistency.
